A Bellevue performance and event space with tape lines, paint and worn sealer, ground clean and coated in Silver Creek flake polyurea.

Event rooms take a beating that most floors never see. Rolling risers, stacked chairs, stage tape, spilled paint from set builds and carts pushed across the same path every week. This Bellevue performance and event space had a sealed concrete floor that had seen all of it, with tape outlines, yellow paint streaks, glue patches and old floor box plates showing through.
The building's owner wanted a commercial concrete coating in Bellevue that would look clean under stage lights and stand up to constant setup and teardown. In March 2025 our crew finished the room in Certified Penntek polyurea with Silver Creek flake, scheduled around the building's calendar.
The first walkthrough was in November 2024, with a second visit in February 2025 to plan around the space. A few things stood out:
Sealer on its own wears off in traffic lanes and leaves the concrete open to stains. That's what had happened here. Everything had to come off before a new coating could bond.
Commercial jobs don't follow the one-day home schedule. This one ran across several days in late March 2025, with stage risers and furniture wrapped in plastic and the work broken into sections.
Read more about how we handle commercial floor coatings, or the differences laid out in commercial vs. residential coatings.
Silver Creek Evolution is a cool blend of grey, white and black chips. Next to the slate blue walls and black ceiling it looks calm and neutral, which is what a performance room needs. The floor shouldn't compete with whatever is happening on stage.
The gloss topcoat catches the track lighting and brightens the room. Scuffs from chair legs and cart wheels blend into the flake instead of standing out on a flat surface.
Impact is the big one here. Risers get dropped, chair stacks get dragged, and equipment rolls in and out. The Penntek basecoat is flexible, so it absorbs hits instead of chipping like rigid epoxy. You can see it in the Penntek Hammer Test.
Cleaning is the other. The polyaspartic topcoat is non-porous. Spilled drinks, paint and tape residue sit on the surface and clean off. And because the coating bonds chemically with the concrete at over 1,300 PSI, it won't peel in the traffic lanes the way the old sealer wore away.
Bellevue has a lot of commercial buildings, event venues and offices with concrete under foot. Many of them run on tight schedules, so planning around bookings matters as much as the coating itself. We test moisture at every consult, protect what stays in the room and phase the work.
See our page on concrete floor coatings in Bellevue for more of what we do in the city, or look at a Bellevue home garage finished in Smoke to see the same system in a residential setting.
Often, yes. On this job the stage risers and some furniture stayed in place, wrapped in plastic, and the crew worked around them. We plan the sequence with the building's owner before work starts.
The polyaspartic topcoat is non-porous, so tape residue and most paint clean off instead of staining. Bare or sealed concrete soaks them in.
It depends on the size and the schedule. This room took several days in March 2025 so the work could be done in sections. Homes are usually one day.
