A 782 sq ft Woodinville garage with cracks and oil stains, plus 60 sq ft of walls and an under-stair nook, coated in Mount Everest flake polyurea in April 2025.

This Woodinville garage is bigger than it looks from the driveway. Two doors open onto 782 square feet of concrete, with a wooden staircase up to the house, a furnace and water heater along the back, ductwork overhead and a storage nook tucked under the stairs. The slab had a long crack near the mechanical area, oil stains in the parking spots and a gray, dusty surface everywhere else.
In April 2025 Cascade finished a garage floor coating in Woodinville with Certified Penntek polyurea in Mount Everest flake, covering the floor, 60 square feet of wall and the space under the stairs.
Cascade's first visit was a free consultation in February 2025. On install day the crew recorded the details on the Penntek warranty job card:
The warranty is registered with Penntek on every job, and those details go with it.
The crack along the back of the garage was the main repair. It ran past the base of a support post and toward the furnace, the kind of crack that shows up as a dark line through any coating that cannot handle it. The crew filled it with Penntek Mender X2 crack repair before any coating went down.
The prep and coating ran across two days in mid-April 2025.
Most people would leave the space under the stairs as bare concrete. Nobody sees it, right? But that is where the mop bucket, the spare tires and the leaky jug of windshield fluid end up. Here the crew carried the flake into the nook and up its walls, so it cleans up like the rest of the garage.
The 60 square feet of verticals do the same job along the main walls. The flake climbs above the slab edge, which hides the joint between floor and wall and gives the room a finished look.
Mount Everest Evolution is a light blend of white, gray and tan chips. With white walls and both doors open to the afternoon sun, the floor looks clean and open. It also hides dust and the grit cars bring in from the road.
A Penntek floor is built as a 30–40 year floor, up to 5x the lifespan of typical epoxy. The pure polyurea bonds chemically with the concrete at over 1,300 PSI, and the flexible basecoat moves with the slab instead of cracking. See it under a hammer in the Penntek Hammer Test, and read how long a Penntek floor lasts.
Woodinville is Cascade's home base, and many homeowners here compare a few companies before deciding. Ask each one how they repair cracks, whether they test moisture, and who backs the warranty. Our list of questions to ask a concrete coating contractor is a good place to start. Verticals are wall areas that get coated, usually the lower few inches of the wall above the slab. On this job, 60 square feet of wall got the same flake as the floor.
Yes. The crew grinds and coats small spaces with hand tools, so nooks under stairs and corners behind equipment match the rest of the floor.
Cracks are cleaned out and filled with a Penntek Mender crack repair product before the basecoat goes on. On this job the crew used Mender X2.
