An older Lynnwood garage with cream built-ins, an old slab patch and a 5.2% moisture reading got a Fieldstone flake polyurea floor in 2026.
Some garages were built with care decades ago. This Lynnwood garage has a full wall of cream built-in cabinets with open cubbies underneath, more cabinets along the side, and a slab that had seen a lot of years. Old patches, a repaired control joint, stains and a dull grey surface made the room feel older than it needed to.
Cascade's crew installed a garage floor coating in Lynnwood with Certified Penntek polyurea in Fieldstone flake. The warm tan blend picks up the tone of the cabinets, and the whole garage now looks like one finished room instead of nice cabinets on tired concrete.
The free consultation was in October 2025. The moisture meter read 5.2%. We also looked closely at an old concrete patch where someone had repaired the slab along a control joint years ago, plus a scattering of smaller cracks and worn spots.
Old patches are worth a second look. They are usually a different mix than the original slab, and they can sit a little high or low. Fieldstone Enviroflake is a warm mix of tan, brown, cream and grey chips. Next to cream cabinetry it feels natural and calm, almost like the floor came with the house. It's also a practical color. Sawdust, dried mud and the odd leaf disappear into it.
Typical epoxy is rigid, and in our wet climate it often starts to show problems in years 3–5. The Penntek basecoat is flexible, so it moves with the slab, old patches and all. Bond strength tests at over 1,300 PSI. Before the coating comes up, the concrete will come up.
