Storage stayed on the walls behind plastic sheeting while this Edmonds garage got crack repair and a Mount Everest flake Penntek polyurea floor in June 2025.

Every wall of this Edmonds garage was spoken for. Cabinets, shelving, a fridge, framed pictures, holiday bins and boxes lined the room from corner to corner. Emptying all of it to coat the floor would have taken a weekend on its own. So it mostly stayed put.
In June 2025 our crew installed a garage floor coating in Edmonds with Certified Penntek polyurea in Mount Everest flake, working around a fully stocked garage. Before we started, plastic sheeting went up like curtains along the walls to keep dust off everything behind it.
Diamond grinding makes dust, even with a vacuum attached. In a garage packed with stored items, that matters. The crew hung plastic sheeting from the ceiling down to the floor along each wall, creating a clean work zone in the middle and a protected strip of storage behind it. The cabinets and shelves never had to move.
The floor itself needed to be clear, along with a working edge in front of the storage. That is the kind of thing we plan together at the consultation, so install day is calm.
We met the homeowner in May 2025 for a free consultation. A scratch test checked hardness. The moisture meter read 4.2% in two spots. The concrete had a crack running across the bay toward the house door, some staining and the usual wear from years of cars coming and going.
The work ran across June 18 and 19, 2025:
The coating stops cleanly at the stone-faced step up to the house, so the entry looks finished instead of patched.
Mount Everest Evolution is a soft blend of whites and greys with a little tan. In a garage with this much storage, a light floor keeps the room from feeling closed in. It reflects the overhead lights and makes the whole space easier to see into.
Light flake still hides plenty. Dust, crumbs from the garage fridge and dried water spots disappear until you sweep.
People search for an epoxy garage floor. What we install is Certified Penntek polyurea, a pure polyurea basecoat with no fillers. It bonds chemically to the concrete at over 1,300 PSI and stays flexible as the slab moves. That is why we can offer a limited lifetime warranty backed by Penntek, not just by us.
Typical epoxy is rigid and often shows problems in years 3–5. A Penntek floor is built for 30–40 years. Read how long a Penntek floor lasts for the full picture.
Lots of Edmonds garages are storage first and parking second. Basements are rare, and the garage holds everything from bikes to holiday decorations. A coated floor protects what sits on it from damp concrete and makes it easy to sweep under shelves.

The floor area being coated must be clear. Wall cabinets and shelving can usually stay where they are, protected by plastic sheeting. We walk through exactly what moves at the free consultation.
We grind with vacuum extraction and hang plastic sheeting along the walls to keep dust contained. Items behind the sheeting stay protected.
The crew gives you walk-on and move-in times before they leave, based on the temperature and humidity that day.
