One Woodinville property, two garages. The first got Tidal Wave polyurea in May 2025. The brand-new detached garage waited for its slab to dry and was coated in October.
This Woodinville property got two garage floors, five months apart, and the gap was on purpose. The first was the existing attached garage, white walls and support posts, about 598 square feet of plain concrete. The second was a brand-new detached garage still in framing, with bare OSB walls and a freshly poured slab.
Both now have a garage floor coating in Woodinville with Certified Penntek polyurea in Tidal Wave flake. The interesting part is the wait in between.
Cascade measured and tested the attached garage at a free consultation in April 2025. The concrete read 4.0% on the moisture meter, and a scratch test showed a solid, hard surface. It was coated in May 2025:

The detached garage was a different story. New concrete holds a lot of water, and it gives that water up slowly. When the crew checked the new slab in July 2025, the meter read 6.9%, much higher than the attached garage had.
Cascade did not rush it. Coating a slab that is still drying out is how floors end up with bubbles or lifting edges a year later. The crew let the building go up around the slab and came back in October 2025, once the slab was ready to coat. Then they ran the same process: grind, vacuum, basecoat, full Tidal Wave flake, scrape and topcoat. Our post on moisture in concrete and garage coatings explains why this step matters so much.
Using Tidal Wave Evolution in both garages ties the property together. The blend of white, gray and navy chips looks cool and clean against white drywall in the attached garage and gives the raw wood walls of the new building a finished floor long before the walls are done. Under the bright work lights in the photos you can see how the flake sits evenly from wall to wall.
