After framing, drywall and paint, this Redmond garage slab was ground clean and coated in high-contrast Domino flake polyurea in one October day.
Garage remodels have an order. Framing, wiring, insulation, drywall, paint. The floor goes last, after every trade with a ladder and a bucket of mud has packed up. This Redmond garage followed that order exactly. In July 2025 the walls were open studs. By mid-October they were smooth and white, and the slab was the only thing left looking like a construction site.
That's when Cascade's crew came in. In October 2025 they ground the slab and coated it in Certified Penntek polyurea with Domino flake, all in one day. It's a garage floor coating in Redmond that finishes the remodel instead of fighting it.
At the July consultation a car was still parked inside and the walls were bare framing. The crew took moisture readings around the garage, including along the walls and into a corner where water tends to collect. Readings ranged from 3.4% to about 4.4%.
By install day the concrete had picked up everything a remodel leaves behind. Drywall dust, mud splatter, paint drips, dark stains and a few cracks running across the floor. There's also a wood support post in the middle of the space, which every step of the coating had to work around.
The crew also coated small vertical returns at the door jambs, so the finish wraps the corners instead of stopping at a ragged edge.
Domino Evolution is a bold one. Black, charcoal, grey and white chips in a high-contrast mix. With crisp white walls and a natural wood post it gives the room a clean, graphic look. It also hides a lot. The busy pattern swallows dust, small debris and the occasional scuff.
People search for an epoxy garage floor. What we install is Certified Penntek polyurea, and the difference shows up years later. Typical epoxy is rigid and often fails in years 3–5, especially over a slab with cracks. The Penntek basecoat is flexible and moves with the concrete. Bond strength tests at over 1,300 PSI. Before the coating comes up, the concrete will come up.
