A three-car Snohomish garage with oil stains, branching cracks and support posts got crack repair and a Smoke flake Penntek polyurea floor in November 2024.

Three garage doors, a row of white support posts down the middle and a slab with a history. This Snohomish garage had dark oil stains running across all three bays, a scuffed, uneven grey surface and cracks that branched across the floor once you looked closely. With a water heater, wood steps up to the house and posts every few feet, it was also a lot of edges to work around.
In November 2024 Cascade gave it a garage floor coating in Snohomish with Certified Penntek polyurea in Smoke flake. The stains are gone, the cracks are filled and covered, and the posts now stand on a clean, glossy grey floor.
The free consultation was in October 2024. The moisture meter read 3.8% on the bare slab. Cascade tests every floor like this before quoting, since moisture coming up from below is one of the main reasons garage coatings fail.
Near the doors there was an obvious crack running across the concrete. Once the crew ground the floor, the full picture showed: several long cracks spreading through the middle bay and toward the back wall, plus oil stains soaked deep into the surface in front of each door.
A garage this size, with this many cracks and posts, took two days in mid-November 2024. Day one was prep. Day two was coating.
Posts get extra hand work. The crew cuts in around each base so the coating runs clean right up to it.
Smoke Evolution is a mid-to-dark grey blend with black, grey and white chips. It is one of the most forgiving colors for a garage that sees real use. Tire marks, drips from a wet car and the dust that blows in when three doors open all blend into it. Against white walls and posts it gives the room contrast without going dark.
Most garage coating problems show up in the same places this garage had trouble: cracks and the front edge where tires and water come in. Rigid epoxy cracks along with the slab and often starts lifting in years 3–5. The Penntek basecoat is flexible and moves with the concrete. It also bonds chemically at over 1,300 PSI, so before the coating comes up, the concrete will come up. The Penntek Hammer Test shows how it takes an impact.
The polyaspartic topcoat resists hot tire pickup and stays non-porous, so oil and road salt wipe off. Our side-by-side on Penntek versus epoxy goes through the differences.
Big garages are common out here. Three bays, a shop corner, room for a boat or a project car. A larger slab means more joints and more chances for cracks, which is why repair and a flexible basecoat matter more as the square footage goes up. Snohomish is covered by the same crews behind our garage floor coatings in the Everett area. If you want a lighter look, here is a Snohomish detached garage we finished in Quartzite.
Many garages are done in one day. This one, with heavy crack repair and a lot of posts, took two days in November 2024. The crew will tell you the schedule at the quote.
The crew grinds and cuts in around each post by hand, then the basecoat, flake and topcoat run right up to the base. The finished floor wraps every post cleanly.
Mid-grey blends like Smoke are some of the easiest to live with. The mix of light and dark chips hides dust and tire marks, and the non-porous topcoat wipes clean with a mop.
