A cracked, stained Carnation garage with antler mounts and wood cabinets, fully crack repaired and coated in Mount Everest flake Penntek polyurea.

Every garage has a personality, and this Carnation one wears it on the walls. Antler mounts, a row of framed prints, a clock by the house door, wood cabinets over the window and open trusses overhead. The floor didn't match. It was a stained, tired slab with cracks running across it and dark patches where cars had sat for years.
In October 2024 this homeowner got a garage floor coating in Carnation that finally fit the room: Certified Penntek polyurea in Mount Everest flake, a light, warm blend that brightens the whole space without fighting the wood and the wall art.
We did the free consultation in late August 2024. The moisture meter read 5.0%. That reading goes into every quote we write, because moisture moving through a slab decides how the floor needs to be built.
The concrete had a network of cracks across the parking area and staining from years of use. Sound overall, but it needed real prep before anything went on top.
This job ran over a couple of days in late October. Here is what that looked like:
Rushed prep is the reason a lot of garage coatings fail. Taking the time to grind, fill and seal is the part you never see once the flake is down, and it's the part that decides whether the floor lasts.
Mount Everest Evolution is a light blend of white, grey and soft tan chips. Next to honey-colored wood cabinets and a wood door, the tan in the flake picks up the warmth. Against the pale walls it keeps the garage bright. And it hides the mud, gravel dust and leaf bits that come in from a rural driveway.
Cracks like these move a little every season. Rigid coatings like typical epoxy often crack right along with them, and problems tend to show up in years 3–5. The Penntek basecoat is flexible and moves with the slab through freeze-thaw. It bonds chemically to the concrete at over 1,300 PSI, which you can see put to work in the Penntek Hammer Test. More test videos are on our demo page.
The floor carries a limited lifetime warranty backed by Penntek, the manufacturer. Penntek has dealers in 200 markets, so the floor can be serviced no matter what happens to any one installer. Our post on why a Certified Penntek Dealer matters explains how that works.
Carnation is a small farm town in the Snoqualmie Valley where the Tolt River meets the Snoqualmie. Winters are wet, the valley floor stays damp and country roads bring plenty of mud home on the tires. A non-porous topcoat means all of that hoses off instead of soaking into the slab.

Yes. After grinding, every crack gets Penntek Mender crack repair. The flexible polyurea basecoat then moves with the slab, so the repairs stay covered.
Some slabs need extra prep, like crack repair across a whole floor or a sealing layer before the basecoat. We schedule what the concrete needs instead of rushing it into one day.
Mount Everest hides mud and gravel dust well because it mixes white, grey and tan chips. The topcoat is non-porous, so a hose and push broom clean it up.
