A two-car Bothell garage tested on a Tuesday in August 2024 and coated in Mount Everest flake polyurea one week later, in a single install day.

Some garage projects are simple, and that is a good thing. This Bothell homeowner had an empty two-car garage with cream walls, a tankless water heater, a concrete step at the house door and a plain grey slab. No major damage. Just bare concrete that would only get dustier and more stained with time.
The free consultation and moisture test happened on a Tuesday in August 2024. Exactly one week later the crew was back for the install, and by the end of that day the garage had a full garage floor coating in Bothell: Certified Penntek polyurea in Mount Everest flake.
A consult is quick and low key. We look at the slab, ask how the garage gets used, and test the concrete. On this floor the moisture meter read 4.4% and 5.2% in two spots. Those numbers go into the plan for the install, and every floor we coat gets tested the same way.
We also look at the details. Here that meant the step at the house door, the joints across the slab and a worn spot near the garage door track. Small things, but they decide how the finished floor looks at the edges.
The crew arrived in the morning with the grinder and the vacuums. By evening the floor was done.
One day is not a shortcut. It works because the materials are made for it. Our post on whether a one-day garage floor coating is worth it explains the chemistry.
Mount Everest Evolution is a light blend of white, grey and tan chips. In a garage with warm cream walls it picks up the tan and keeps the space feeling bright, even with the door closed. The coated step looks like part of the floor instead of a grey block someone forgot.
A light flake is also practical. Sawdust, leaves and the grit that rides in on tires fade into the pattern, so the floor looks clean longer between sweeps.
A lot of people start out pricing an epoxy garage floor. The Certified Penntek polyurea on this floor is a different product. It bonds chemically with the concrete at over 1,300 PSI, using a silane adhesion promoter. Before the coating comes up, the concrete will come up.
The topcoat resists hot tire pickup, which is when warm tires lift a coating off the floor. That is a common complaint with typical epoxy, especially in summer. FadeLock™ keeps a light color from yellowing, and Penntek tested it in a 16-hour QUV accelerated UV test.
Every floor gets a limited lifetime warranty backed by Penntek, registered on the job. Hear from a homeowner in this Penntek customer video, or read our own Cascade reviews.
August is a comfortable month to coat a garage in Bothell. Long dry days, warm slabs and open garage doors. That said, Penntek cures in cool weather too, so the calendar is open year round. Our guide on the best season to install a garage floor coating covers the tradeoffs.

It depends on the schedule, but it can be quick. This Bothell garage was tested and quoted one week and coated the next. The install itself takes one day.
We test moisture and hardness, look at cracks and joints, show flake samples and talk through how you use the space. You get a quote with no pressure to sign that day.
